Night class
This is my first time of attending night class. Though I felt a bit weird at the beginning, eventually I get used to it. The subject is Enterprise Resource Planning System. It is somehow similar to Computerised Accounting. The 2 subjects use the same accounting software which is known as "SAP". SAP has similar function to MYOB, just that SAP is typically used in medium to large businesses while MYOB is catered for small to medium businesses. I have used MYOB before, it is not complicated at all. So hopefully, I can cope with SAP. I just have to play around with the software, get familiar with it and enter in transactions.
What surprises me is, the majority of the students are Indians. Only 5 chinese including me, and couple of aussies. Most of them have full time jobs. They work from 9 to 5 and go classes at night. For a full time student like me, I much prefer day classes because I feel tired at night, not because I'm not a night person, but rather, I don't like studying at night. It just makes me ending up dozing off. Hey, I have heaps of other stuffs to do other than study at night, like cuddling up on bed and watch movie. That's lazy me.
Met new people in class and getting along with them well. Lecturer is good and he gave us a pen each as a welcome gift. Overall, doing postgrad at VU is not bad at all in terms of assessments and the level of difficulties of the units.

First day of uni
I started my first class on "computerised accounting in ERP systems" today. I had trouble finding the correct tutorial room because of the misleading information given by the faculty staffs. They don't even know where the tutorial rooms are, given the fact that they are VU's staffs! OMG. My timetable shows that the tutorial is held at basement in City Flinders, but there is none there. So the faculty staff asked me to try at Flinders Lane. So I went there and found out that there was no such place. I went to the faculty again, this time I was really frustrated and raised my voice, 'where the hell is the tutorial room' because I was already 15 minutes late. The staff rang up the other person and realise that it was actually at Queen St. So I have to walk from corner Elizabeth and Flinders St to corner Queen and Little Lonsdale Street. Finally I managed to find the room which is actually a computer lab. I was 40 minutes late. Phew~ luckily, I could still catch up with the tutorial works. What a "good" start.
I hope I got the correct lecture theatre for tomorrow.
