Internship day 13

I missed the 12th day of internship. I was at client's office again that day, doing vouching and photocopying, nothing much

Today was a tiring one. In the morning, I went to client office to finish my vouching and tidying up the audit working paper. Then back to office again after lunch time. In office, I did final touch up on the working paper. Then, unexpectedly, I was requested to do stocktake at Sabarice warehouse. My job was to count inventory in the warehouse and record them on the stocklist. Then me and my colleague prepare variance report on the inventory. We have to compare the inventory as per client and as per EY.

This was a good experience for me.

Merry Christmas

We meet again on Christmas Day. Very weird, very weird. o.O

Internship day 11

Today is my first day at client's office. Before that, I did journal review and complete register form. At client office, I did transaction test and not yet finish. I'm going to finish it tomorrow.

Internship day 10

• I was assigned to work in a group of 2 for completing audit work for a holding company with a subsidiary. Obviously, this will involve consolidation
• Today I've done reconciliation on opening balances and fill in the audit procedures form.
  
• Tomorrow will be my first visit to client's office. Hope everything goes well.
  

Internship day 9

Today still on consolidated financial statement. Quite a number of errors detected and I have to modify the figures to get the balance. According to my senior, the errors are brought forward from previous years and the working paper was not updated. Finally, I manage to finish it and am waiting for my senior to check my work.

Tomorrow is Saturday! Day anticipated where I can rest.lol. People out there, enjoy your friday night~!

Internship day 8

Today was fun! We laughed in office..lol..One of my colleague is very funny and made us laugh non stop. We will have an exchange christmas present session next tuesday. We are required to buy RM10 presents for exchange. I wonder what should I buy.

For work, I did data entry on consolidated income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements and notes to financial statements. The holding company is Cenati Holdings Sdn Bhd, a property company with 9 subsidiaries. Through this activity, I get to know how consolidated financial statements works in the real world. So useful.

Internship day 7

I'm not feeling well today. Toothache and stomach pain >.< Can't work properly in office. But surprisingly, I have no work to do in the afternoon. Damn bored and tired.

The work I've done for today is

• finalise the subsequent payment for payables and creditors
• fill in bill authorisation for audit fees
• review on past working paper and financial statements to get an idea what sort of things E&Y do.

• offsetting accrual transactions
• vouch transportation and harvesting costs
• check trial balance
• fill in remuneration for directors form that comply companies act
• subsequent event for payables and receivables

Internship day 5

I did not reach office to work until 9.40am because I went to dental clinic to check my teeth. Today was not bad. I did the remaining part of income statement of FFB, copy and paste, photocopies general ledgers and vouch sundry expenses. Not forgotten the accruals, I only finished the copy and paste and photocopies part. Shall continue the double entry part tomorrow morning =p

I hope we can finish Taraf Teguh's working paper by due date, that is before Christmas.

I don't have the mood to work tomorrow.. arrgghh!! Monday blueeeeee~~~~~~

Internship day 4

My supervisor was in office today. As usual, I continued my journal voucher review and managed to finish it by lunch time. Then I was asked to do FBB sales for income statement but I haven't finish yet. Will continue next monday. Not much to learn today.

Internship day 3

Today was not stress because supervisor was out for audit. I was assigned to

• prepare report on remuneration to directors
• prepare account on administrative expenses
• prepare schedule of trade creditors
• continue with my journal voucher review
  

Though it was quite relaxing, it was tedious for me to stare at the computer for the whole day doing the data entries.

I'm getting familiar with the company I handle. All the best!

Internship day 2

2nd day of internship.

I had learn to

• fill in audit procedure form
• audit trial balance
  
• create and audit other payables account
• create and audit cash and bank accounts
• create bank reconciliation
• create and audit fixed assets accounts
• audit journal vouchers

I start to love my jobs. The staffs are very nice and helpful. I get to know one of the senior managers. He taught me a lot of things behind the accounts. Hope the works that I have done so far are accurate.

Internship day 1

Today is my first day of internship. My job was to audit financial statement for a company. The job was tedious because I have to look through a thick file to reconcile the numbers in the balance sheet. I have to complete the work tomorrow.

The people are very friendly and the working environment is good.

Tomorrow would be my first day of internship at Ernst and Young. Looking forward to it. I need to have confidence on myself! I can do it!
