Career year

I need to appoint a mentor for my CPA 3 years practical experience requirement and complete a further 2 CPA units in order to advance to full CPA status. The best mentor that I can appoint is one of the partners in my company because they are full CPA members. For the PER, I have to maintain a logbook to show my technical, personal effectiveness, business and leadership skills.

Sub-areas for the technical skills would be

• auditing
• financial accounting
• financial planning
• financial risk management
• insolvency
• management accounting
• taxation

In my role, I will be mainly involved in financial planning, financial risk management, management accounting and taxation.

For the 2 remaining CPA units, I am going to enrol Business Strategy & Leadership and Contemporary Business Issues.

I am gonna be a career-minded person once I start on my work. Hence, I am so gonna focus on my career first and my goal is to obtain CPA full membership in 3years time. Good good good!

Lifeeee...

I have an aussie colleague and I reckon he is kinda cute. We often took the same train to the city after work and had a long nice chat all the way back. He is very different from the other locals that I've known so far. He is shy yet friendly and has a sense of humour. He is serious in his work and takes full responsibility on the tasks assigned to him.

This is the first time I feel clicked to a caucasian guy. But sigh, I'm going to leave my current job soon and would not be able to work with him as a team again.

So yeah, people often go in and out of my life. Most of my friends have gone back to their homecountry for good and some chose to work in Perth.

I wonder how to retain my bunch of friends and never have to say goodbye to them =(

I am so happy when I received my package of employment agreement just now. But there are 3 months probationary period applied to me, which essentially means that they have the right to terminate my employment after the 3 months period if I am not able to work in according to their standards.

I have to work from Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.00pm with only 30mins lunch break except Friday, an hour break. Sigh... I guess I will be super tired by the time I'm back from work.

I should not be complaining now and be grateful that I am able to work full-time as a graduate accountant.

I need to WORK HARD!

God, please guide me through and bless me in work =)

Lalalala...

Feel sssooooooooooo good to wake up in the morning without having to stress about things.. I couldn't remember the last time I don't have to worry about things undone.
